ISLAMABAD: The NA 245 Karachi National Assembly seat left vacant by the sudden death of Aamir Liaquat Hussain will remain vacant till the end of the current National Assembly term where PTI's Mehmood Maulvi was elected in the election battle last week.
Informed sources have told The News that at that time three members of the National Assembly of PTI were supposed to take the oath of membership but they did not choose to do so.
It is believed that if elected members take oath of membership and have to resign as per party policy, their respective seats will again become vacant and the party will have to contest elections.
