In some countries of the world, terminally ill patients have the facility to allow a doctor to assist them in dying with their consent. .
In the world, there are people who believe in different religions, and have different views. Those who consider it right according to their belief or thought.
But we look at this whole matter from the Islamic point of view.... For example
You appoint an ambassador or representative to another country.. you send him to that country with clear guidelines and in many less important matters he decides on his own according to the circumstances.
But in most cases he is bound by the guideline given by you and in very important cases he is bound to consult you and decide in case of no guideline.. because he is a govt employee. He cannot take decisions by himself. Otherwise, he will be called to account and punished.
Similarly, as Muslims, we are the representatives or servants sent by Allah Ta'ala in the world. We were given clear guidelines in the form of Shariah. We do not have authority over our bodies, but we are subjugated or bound by Shariat.
That is why allowing someone to take their own life with their own hands, regardless of the reason, is self-murder in the eyes of Shariat. And suicide is prohibited in Shariat.
Now the question arises here that what should a person do if he is suffering from an incurable disease and is in severe pain.
Life is such a blessing that no one is willing to give it up. Then he tries to get the best treatment even within his limited resources so that he can be healthy...
And in incurable diseases, despite the fact that the doctor knows that the patient cannot be cured. Despite this, the patient is treated. He does this treatment not to cure the patient but to minimize the intensity of your suffering in the end.....
Most of the patients do not think because of the severity of the pain but because of the attitudes of the relatives that death is better because of this need.
Therefore, encourage such a patient as much as possible. Forgive him if he became irritated due to illness. Don't talk hopelessly in front of him, tell him how important he is in your life. And create a desire to live in it. . . .
Until one gives up mentally one does not think about death. Therefore, if you feel it is necessary to treat the patient's disease, then also provide psychological treatment. Because a good psychotherapist can eliminate the hopelessness created in the patient and create hope to live in him.
The bottom line is that running away from life and embracing death is not bravery, but cowardice. If you are a Muslim, you are bound by Sharia...
Any good lawyer in the world will prove black as white and white as black on the basis of his arguments.. but at the end of the day what will we do?
